The percentage that our Healthcare goes up is not determined by the union. Excellus gives the percentage to the County and the County then determines what, if any, they will pay from that percentage. Example: If Excellus comes back with a 25% hike then the County will say we will pay 10% of that figure and pass the 15% down to the employees.
Remember the percentage hike is based on: 1-utilization (going to Urgent Care, Emergency Rooms, doctor visits), and 2-Prescription costs for medicines employees are taking.
