Please join CSEA in celebrating Disability Pride Month, celebrated each July to commemorate the July 26, 1990, passage of Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). The goal of Disability Pride Month is to change how people think about disability, to end internalized shame among those with disabilities and to promote the belief that disability is a natural and beautiful part of human diversity. I’d also like to acknowledge and thank all the CSEA members who work with New Yorkers with disabilities, often treating them as family members. They are able to live a meaningful and dignified life as a result and we all owe our gratitude!
